Thanks for reply. I will check with Globalscale to see when they will have it ready for order.

I think it may be a while before GST have them for sale, how many do you need, because the test model has the US cables, we can put them into a new units box for you.

Do NewIT get it from Globalscale? will NewIT have a North America version?

Hi yes we do get our stock from Globalscale, but we only buy UK and EU versions.

The new models they are showing on the website are what they intend to produce, i don't think they have any working models as yet.

Can anyone who works for Marvall give us all a realistic  indication of when this Plug  Computer 3.0 is going in to be available for general purchase?

We are going to stick a pin in the calender and say November! - please dispute this Smiley

Really no FP? This would make a nice Squeezebox-Server for me, but it should be able to transcode. Will the old model be still produced?

Yes the current SheevaPlug will still be produced.

A bit more info (or variations and speculations on the existing...):

http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/marvell-plug-computer-30-05-01-2010/

http://www.geek.com/articles/gadgets/marvells-new-plug-computer-3-0-powers-the-smart-home-and-streams-media-2010015/

So in short, no one outside of Marvell knows whats going to be included port wise, what price it is going to be, or when it is actually going to be released.

If anyone does find out anymore info please post  here Smiley

72  General Category / General Discussion / Re: New IT SheevaPlug Customers - Which config did you buy? on: November 30, 2009, 11:57:08 AM
Hello there, i thought i would give you the percentages of sales for each config, these are based on the period when we were selling all the configs at the same time:

67% Base/Standard config
19% SD Boot
14% UBIFS

I have not included Meteohub in this because its a bit more specialised.

Hope that helps you and may interest others Smiley

hungarianhc, we did not tell you to order from GST, we just pointed out that you lived in the USA and GST were getting their stock immanently.  We have and will continue to sell to customers in the USA, we just thought we were being helpful.
Right - I didn't mean to misrepresent what you said. I just asked you if you had the item in stock, and you mentioned that another store, one which is less expensive and domestic, would have it shortly. I interpreted that as pointing me toward ordering from them - apologies if I misrepresented what you wrote.

Its not a problem, we carry the EU and UK versions of the SheevaPlug, and as I said we have and will sell to anyone from the USA. As long as a buyer from the USA has the relevaent power cord (IEC C7) to fit the plug then it will work. Smiley

Fedor, I do not think there is a problem getting the SheevaPlug, if you need some we have ample stock to sell to you immediately, in fact our store shows the stock level of each configuration of SheevaPlug we sell.
