GST have it at $149, which means if you are in the UK it will cost you:

So that’s £124.74 delivered, plus VAT and FedEx charge for handling the VAT (£24.75+£10)

Total Price to the UK £159.49

New IT price will be about £135 including delivery within the UK.

We currently have an offer on the limited stock that we have of these, a 10% price saving!

Blatant advertising, I know, but I am sure the community would like to made aware of any current price offers…

25  Hardware and U-Boot firmware / Hardware / Re: SheevaPlug or GuruPlug as torrent box? on: October 04, 2010, 04:09:58 AM
We sell both units, and also the eSATA version of the SheevaPlug...

1) Does SheevaPlug suffer from the same overheat problem as GuruPlug? No
2) Does SheevaPlug have SD card reader? I'm asking this because NewIT offeres such plug with SD card and obviously SheevaPlug has a SD slot - is it a mock for regular units and only NewIT puts there real SD reader?Yes it has an SD card slot as standard
3) Does GuruPlug Plus only sufferer from overheat problem and GuruPlug Standard doesn't?The Plus now has an internal fan to assist in the heat dissipation, the Standard only has one GBit Ethernet, which is where the majority of the heat build up comes from
4) What is the difference between SheevaPlug and GuruPlug in terms of CPU - I can see they have different Marvel chips, but what is the real speed difference?None, as said previously just the memory has a higher clock rate 800 vs 400

Our recomendation would be the eSATA Sheeva for expandability and price.

To answer your questions;
Pricing, yes the paymant provider you use will use their exchange rates to calculate the price.
Globalscale.
We only have US versions of the SheevaPlug and OpenRD, we can supply a US cable to go with the Guru's, but we do not have the US slider so the unit can hang from a power socket on the wall.

Hope tha helps you and others.

So to expand on the question a little bit...

Is anyone shipping Plug computers on a timely schedule? I'm in the US and really interested in getting one or two to tinker with.

I see lots of complaints about GlobalScale.

We ship from stock to the US, http://www.newit.co.uk/shop/categories.php normally takes about 7 days to get over to you chaps in the US.
Our GuruPlugs are due into us on Friday 24/9/10, and we will be despatching out on Monday/Tuesday the following week.

Hope this helps you.

Do you have any idea when the plugs will be shipped then?

If you order an item that we have in stock before 2pm UK time, it is shipped the same day.
