1  Linux Stuff / Kernel / Re: 3.9.0+ Device-tree kernels on: October 10, 2013, 03:36:50 AM
it is very risky
i want to see all console output
so i better stay with previous kernel
kirkwood-* kernels boots without such problem (but lacks uap module)

i don't use 'machid'

guruplug freezes after message "Uncompressing Linux... done, booting the kernel."

i use these variables:
arcNumber 2659
mainlineLinux yes

I don't have a lot of time to look at this at the moment, but there is a "fresh" 3.2.51 kernel with that module.

thx, i'll check it

Problem solved by flashing newer kernel (2.6.39.4) to the nand (I had 2.6.35.x).
6  General Category / General Discussion / Re: udevd[645]: unable to receive ctrl connection: Function not implemented on: November 13, 2011, 10:49:42 AM
Damn! I have the same problem.
After updating from squeezy to wheezy system doesn't boot anymore.
Just nonstopping messages "udevd[635]: unable to receive ctrl connection: Function not implemented" in debug console.

I don't know.

Wrong thread for this question.
But check out this http://sheeva.with-linux.com/sheeva/2.6.37/2.6.37.2/
9  Linux Stuff / Kernel / Re: 2.6.35.11 new kernel available on: March 04, 2011, 03:38:22 AM
Successfully installed this kernel to the NAND.
Everything works fine.

Problem solved by reflashing u-boot and kernel from the official repository with JTAG module.
u-boot from http://oinkzwurgl.org/guruplug_uboot doesn't work.
11  Linux Stuff / Kernel / Re: Where can I download uap8xxx.ko? on: February 26, 2011, 06:06:56 AM
I've gotten this issue from time to time, and one or two simple reboots fixed it (as in, I just tried once or twice more without changing anything and it got past that point).  I haven't been able to identify what makes it occur or not occur.
Too late for me Smiley
Now I'm waiting for shipping of the JTAG to reflash uboot.

UPD: BTW support of the newit.co.uk sent me uap8xxx.ko file but at that moment I've already bricked my uBoot.
12  Linux Stuff / Kernel / Re: Where can I download uap8xxx.ko? on: February 23, 2011, 01:12:25 PM
I've decided to upgrade uBoot and now have one more level of brick.
Now I even don't see any messages via serial.
13  Linux Stuff / Kernel / Re: Where can I download uap8xxx.ko? on: February 23, 2011, 10:19:46 AM
Damn it!
I've flashed kernel 2.6.36.4 from sheeva.with-linux.com and now got:
Code:
Uncompressing Linux... done, booting the kernel.
That's all. System doesn't boot at all now.
14  Linux Stuff / Kernel / Re: Where can I download uap8xxx.ko? on: February 23, 2011, 10:13:42 AM
Now I'm traying to install newer kernel with that module...
15  Linux Stuff / Kernel / Re: Where can I download uap8xxx.ko? on: February 23, 2011, 09:13:59 AM
You can get a full rootfs from the plugcomputer.org remository.
repository contains rootfs and modules for kernel vesion 2.6.33.2-00003-g4b82fc0 and I have 2.6.32-00007-g56678ec.
So I can't insmod that uap8xxx.ko.
