Hi!

Got stuck half-way into an upgrade - still have the stock Ubuntu 9.04 on the NAND, but managed to upgrade U-Boot to 2011.12 in anticipation of changing the OS. Unfortunately my plug now doesn't boot properly. It loads the kernel, but then gets stuck. Ideas/suggestions?

No such luck, unfortunately - the connector looks OK.

BigBear59 and UnaClocker - thanks for your suggestions, but it appears the USB is really physically dead. The host computer doesn't see *anything* being plugged in, not even an unknown device

Unfortunately I have the same problem on a sheevaplug:

Code:
# sheeva-ubootenv-print
sheeva-nandrs-decode: too many errors in block #0 of chunk #0
sheeva-ubootenv-decode: environment must be 128Kb.

Due to an apparentlly broken USB port, I do not have access to the normal uboot console, so was hoping the sheeva-ubootenv commands would allow me to update the sheevaplug without console access.

Thanks for the pointer, but... Sad

Code:
# sheeva-ubootenv-print
sheeva-nandrs-decode: too many errors in block #0 of chunk #0
sheeva-ubootenv-decode: environment must be 128Kb.

Hi!

I have a sheevaplug that I manage to log into using ssh without problems, but when I plug in an USB cable there's nobody home - none of my host computers see anything (not even an unknown USB device) plugged in.
Is there a way to configure the u-boot environment without the serial USB console?
