I just want to point you on this: http://lists.debian.org/debian-arm/2010/06/msg00013.html

Yes I can confirm that. But it's a bit modified (e.g. auto mounting sd card, usb drives) to much for me.

Thanks for the answers.

The solution in my case was simple to restart the computer...

Didn't need to load the module with special arguments.

Hi,

I tried your tips but without success.

My Error message is a little bit different then yours:
Code:
$ sudo ./runme.sh ../uboot.guruplug.bin

I just got my pre-order confirmation mail from the shop in germany. The guruplugs are estimated to be shipped next week on monday or tuesday to the customers (me Wink).

We received a delivery update from Globalscale last night, this tells us that our shipment will be leaving China next week.
Has it left china on time?

Which distribution will be shipped with the guruplug when it becomes available?

Will it be ubuntu (9.04?) or debian?

Is there any info out there?
9  Linux Stuff / Linux distributions / Re: [IMPORTANT] Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala *WON'T* work on the sheevaplug on: March 09, 2010, 06:50:34 AM
Is it right, that the next ubuntu (lucid - 10.04) won't work on the sheeva/guruplug, too?
Because it will use armv7 instructions. (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM)

That mean you shouldn't use ubuntu 9.04 after 2011, because there will be no security updates anymore.
My conclusion is that ubuntu doesn't have any future on the sheeva/guru plugs and will die there.

Is there any hope that ubuntu will support armv5 in the future again?
