I'm looking for the lightest distro available that can be installed using apt-get or similar, i.e. not creating own install package etc...

Has anyone already developed WiFi drivers for Sheeva/Guruplug that support "spurious mode"?
We're looking to use SP/GP as WiFi sniffer in one of our projects but lack low level driver development skills.
