1  Linux Stuff / General Linux questions / Re: Dbus "Autolaunch error: X11 initialization failed" on: December 03, 2009, 09:57:35 AM
I configured dbus with the option --without-x like this:
./configure --without-x
It compiled successfully.

But now, when I want to launch my program, it says:
Quote
Failed to connect to the D-BUS daemon: dbus-launch failed to autolaunch D-Bus session: Autolaunch requested, but X11 support not compiled in.
Cannot continue.

How can I use D-Bus in sheeva plug?

Hello,

I have coded a little program which send a message with dbus.
I successfully cross compiled it.
But when I want to launch it on the sheeva plug, it says:
"** (process:1553): WARNING **: Failed to connect to the D-BUS daemon: dbus-launch failed to autolaunch D-Bus session: Autolaunch error: X11 initialization failed."

How can I launch D-Bus without X11?
Is there anyone who have successfully used D-Bus on sheeva plug?
3  Linux Stuff / General Linux questions / Cross-compilation problems on: December 01, 2009, 06:53:44 AM
Hello!

I would like to cross-compile gsoap using the compiler from plugcomputer.org (http://plugcomputer.org/index.php/us/resources/downloads?func=select&id=7)

When I type "./configure --host=arm-none-linux-gnueabi" there is no problem.
But when I type make, errors appear:
"...

Is there anyone who know how cross-compile gsoap?
How can I fix the errors?
4  Linux Stuff / General Linux questions / Re: Getting Started with the cross compiler on: November 27, 2009, 03:10:49 AM
When I execute this,
[root@compaps hello]# /home/gcc/arm-none-linix-gnueabi/bin/gcc -o hello.sheeva hello.c
I get this:
gcc: error trying to exec 'cc1': execvp: No such file or directory
Can someone interpret this for me?

Hello

I had the same error so I added the path to the directory which contains 'cc1' to my $PATH by executing this:
"export PATH=$PATH:/home/my_login/LinuxHost/gcc/libexec/gcc/arm-none-linux-gnueabi/4.2.1"

But I still have the same error
"gcc: error trying to exec 'cc1': execvp: No such file or directory"

Can anyone help me?
