General Category / General Discussion / Does anyone want to buy my Sheevaplug? (updated power supply)

I'm not sure if you're allowed to post items for sale, but if you are, here it goes. Otherwise, mods can feel free to pull this down. After some fun with the Sheevaplug, I think i'm going back to the x86 world. it was fun while it lasted. Anyhow, I had one of the units that failed initially due to the bad power supply. I replaced it, and I had it running just fine after that for a while. So you've got the updated PSU. Also, there's an 8GB SDHC CLass 6 card that will come with it as well. How does $90 shipped sound? PM me if interested.

Hardware and U-Boot firmware / Hardware / Re: "Official" replacement PSUs - anyone had one?

I JUST finished installing my new "official" replacement PSU from globalscale. The old one looked like it had had a meltdown.... The new one was tough to install. Some of the parts in different spots than on the original one so it was hard to get it to fit in the case properly. I had to bend some things around and actually cut a bit of the metal away. Anyhow, I'm doing a fresh install on it right now, and it's booting just fine off the USB drive. We'll see how long it lasts...

Hardware and U-Boot firmware / Hardware / How much better are the eSata transfer rates over the USB transfer rates?

Just looking to see if there would be a quantifiable performance increase moving from USB to eSata. I currently only have the USB sheevaplug. I was hoping that by now, I would be able to order a 2ghz plug w/ esata... but still just the same 1.2ghz CPU. I mean they were showing off 2ghz plugs at CES! In any case, i'm curious if someone has done before/after testing on USB/eSata. I think CPU utilization might go down a bit w/ esata.
